Eran Katzir, Founder & General Manager

Eran Katzir founded AXYSTEMS in 2002 and serves as the company’s General Manager. Based on its proprietary core technology and a focus on system product design and manufacturing with high motion control contents, Eran led the company forward in the areas of servo control, embedded computing, stepper control, multi-axis motion controls, and robotics. From 1992-2002, Eran was employed by Kollmorgen-Servotronix, where he held several key positions, including Program Manager (global next generation drive platforms, automatic pointing systems, and custom drive products), Development Drive Team Manager, Servo Drive Development and Research Engineer, and Servo Drive Software Engineer. Eran holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Tel Aviv University and a Masters in Science Management from Boston University.

Rasty Slutsker - Director, Software Projects

A seasoned and experienced software engineer, Rasty Slutsker joined AXYSTEMS in 2007. Rasty’s comprehensive knowledge of real-time software, operating systems, motion control, communication protocols, field buses, and electronics, has made him a valued member of the management team. He was previously employed as a Team Leader and Project Manager at Danaher-Servotronix. Prior, he was a senior software developer at GlobeSpan Virata and Team Leader, Software Infrastructures and Protocols at Commprize, and a software developer at Kollmorgen-Servotronix. Rasty holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science from Lviv Polytechnic Institute, Russia.

Gal Lior - Director, Electronic Design

Gal Lior joined the AXYSTEMS team in 2002. With a proven track record in the design and development of motion systems for various applications, including electronic assembly, medical systems, satellite communication, and general industrial applications, Gal brings a wealth of market experience and expertise. He was previously employed as a developer at CogniTens 3-D Vision Systems (system, digital, analog, power, high voltage, and PC-based test systems), Terayon (design integration and testing of cable modem systems), and Computerized Solutions (motion and servo control for airborne systems for the Israeli Air Force). Gal holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from Tel Aviv University.

Mirko Borich - Director, Motion Group

With a strong background in the development and implementation of complex mathematical algorithms in robotics and motion control, Mirko Borich brings years of experience to the AXYSTEMS team. As Director of the Motion Group, Mirko leads the company’s motion control projects, including presales support and training. He was previously Account and Technical Support Manager at Danaher Motion (Mass., USA), Project Manager/Motion Software Group Leader at Servotronix-Kollmorgen, System Engineer at Elrad, and Senior Researcher at the Mihailo Pupin Institute (Belgrade, Yugoslavia). Mirko is a leading authority in the field of motion control, and has published and presented a host of papers at international conferences. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Automatic Control and Mathematics) from Belgrade University, Yugoslavia.
